Our community here in Walla Walla Washington is a tight-knit group and through discussions we recognized that the disasters that struck so many people in the northern California communities of Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino hit home hard - just as if those terrible fires had happened here in Walla Walla. We all want to do something to help and that meant raising money to help those in need.

Thomas Thompson and Larry Davidson of Musty, Marc & Brix put together a benefit concert, held at the GESA Power House Theater. GESA agreed to donate the theater space on Thursday, December 7th, 2017.

Our executive sponsor - the Walla Walla Chamber of Commerce - along with many other organizations, businesses, government and individuals chipped in what they could to make this special evening come off while delivering real and tangible benefit to the peoples directly affected.

The bands that played were:

1. Strangers in a Strange Land (featuring members of the Seeds)... Come hear one of the hottest new bands out of San Francisco and Sonoma - with their ultra hip retro-psychedelic sound has it's feet firmly planted in our modern era. These guys are gaining major traction so you'll be among the first to see what all the fuss is about;

2. Abney Park - Worldwide kings of the steampunk music revolution and style;

3. One of our own great local Walla Walla bands Big Font;

and of course … Musty, Marc & Brix.

Mayor Alan Pomraning kicked off the event, dressed in speampunk attire. The evening was packed with entertainment and thoughtful consideration for those who have suffered so much.

All monies raised from the event were donated directly to the Sonoma County Resilience Fund.
